Hi Jim,

If I examine the port list, neither W98 nor W2K sees the COM2 port. However, W98 can see COM2 when checking for a modem, while W2K does not.

Both operating systems report that the notebook has a COM1 and a COM3. It appears the COM2 is internally linked to the modem and W2K can't see this.
