Andrews,

Three points.

1. Last year, during a demo of the early work on VFP 7.0 in New Orleans, the directory structure of the person who's computer was demonstrating it appeared on the display for all to see. Quitely clearly, there was one folder that caught the attention of many. Its name? VFP8.0

2. From what I know, it's Microsoft's policy never to talk about future releases beyond the next version. One could easily surmise from this that VB will not see a version 8.0 (even in .NET)

3. And this has been said (by Ken Levy, I think). "Those that know, can't talk. Those that talk, can't know". Folks are under Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

Forward the name of the employee to Robert Green. He's said he wants to hear about things like this.
