>Where I work, we have used VFP intently for about 6 months, and are just starting to realize the benefits of using a 'framework'. What is everyone else doing interms of adopting a framework? I went to the maxframe demo but it seemed to really require that you adopt their feel and touch, and just bought the codebook by Griver to read this week. I am also interested in what would be the best way to go to stay marketable as a contractor. What is everyone else doing? Thanks!
Jeff,
Myself here.. I used to use FoxExpress, a RAD tool by Neon (Now F1 Software outta Toledo, Ohio).. It did a helluva job for 2.x apps in Dos/Windows and now with 2.x does all this, plus makes apps for the Mac too!!
I am now looking at Visual FoxExpress, from them. It is based upon the classes from Flash (The Visual Codebook), plus adds a lot of features, fixes that they didn't do..
I would suggest you head ove to their site (
WWW.foxgang.com) and take a look.. They have a sample app you can download and look at there too!!
Just my two cents worth here..
Thanx!
