Not guaranteed, but a simple place to start if the .FPT file associated with the .DBF exists...

Have available an empty table - B -- same name, fields, indexes etc as your table A. If the original table is an attached table, you'll need to do this in the context of the complete database for that application.

Open table B
Append from table A

This will fix situations in which the links from the table to the memo have gotten screwed up. VFP is able to sort those out in the process.
