Has anyone done this using MM and can give some advice on how to accomplish it? My thougths thus far, are to have the application object check for the existence of a free table of clients in the home directory and display/select based on its existence. Right track? Wrong track? Better way?

That is exactly how the application I am working on now operates. It's a commercial application for Insurance companies - they can choose separate internal company databases from a list deried from a free table in the start path.
The data path is assigned to the global object, and the appropriate database is opened .
