If you'd spare time to make it work and need badly I think grid way is easier and native to VFP. For a quick test put a grid on a form with headerheight=0, scrollbars = 2, gridlines = 0, recormark, deletemark and slitbar = .f.
It really mimics well. Unfortunately I don't have ready code to paste here for the moment (well I did it for I wanted headers badly-I might find one tomorrow if you want:)
