In the files section here on the UT there is a zip class file that will assist in creating zip files.
The method I use for making them is the Windows MakeCab.exe application which I can call from within my VFP application. These, of couorse create compressed files with the .CAB extension which you can either rename or leave as is, because programs such as WinZip will un-zip a .CAB file
