One interesting thing so far about XML is that it is good to have the advantage of using various applications to extract data from various sources using the XML protocol. For companies having such a need, it represents a big plus. I understand XML also have other advantages when being used with other technologies such as SOAP and .NET framework. One good think is to keep up to date with whatever relates to XML. Its role would certainly increased more and more in the next few months/years in the Web development business.
