>Well websters said "Gay" was happy until the late 80's so you tell me
Stephen;
I recall Webster’s Dictionary defining the following words as having equivalent meanings: Gay, queer, and happy. Times change and English (especially the American form we use) is a dynamic language, and therefore our usage of words and their meanings changes.
Some day right may mean left and left may mean right. One must keep up with the “latest” use of words used within our society. I have seen a number of movies made in the 1980’s where the word “gay” was used to indicate happiness. Today, this is politically incorrect – as you will get your head bashed in from one of two sides.
At least if you are happy you can say so and not attempt to use another word to express your feelings.
