I use this technique on my Novell 5 network to set security levels in our client app without the user having to login separately to the app. It works fine for Win95/98 machines but on an NT client it returns the NT username, not the Novell username. Since I'm using the "Administrator" defaults on my workstation and login to the Novell servers as "Henry", this function returns "Administrator" as the username.
