Our son and daughter are in college and began using computers before grammar school. This included S-100, Apple II e, Mac, and PC's. They both have the ability to use computers for any business or artistic purpose, but not programming. I am happy they are not interested in programming as a life long pursuit. That is my personal feeling and they have made his/her own choice. Even though we live in Silicon Valley, not everyone has to be a programmer.

Now when it comes to computer skills, both our childern have been employed because of his/her computer skills. This has allowed them to make five times more than working at McDonald's.
