Hi!

If you meant just usual run of EXE using network shared folder - VFP application runs here at the client, that means it uses memory of the client computer. This is as ususal - data still transferred through network.

There is an approach with use of such services as Citrix server or Windows 2000 Terminal Services. In this case each application runs at the server computer, user just downloads images of the application appearanse to the client. This way is very overloading for the server, however, if your VFP application takes a lot of memory, because 10 users will take 10* memory on the server.

>If a VFP app sits on a Server and runs from the users PC's, is it quicker to have the system use Local Views, or is it as quick for the app to just amend the tables directly.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
