Its depended on the size of the application. We have application we need to move to Oracle server from VFP. After some work we discovered that this is extremely difficult because application uses a lot of direct single-queries (SELECT statements) to the VFP tables, as well as indexes and other stuff for interactive search. Working with server database is something really different than working with VFP tables. The difference is great also because it even have an impact on user interface and logic of the main application routines.
