I think, I understood you, but anyway, I got it working using SET FILTER idea. I made another try with SET KEY, but it only showed one record, not all records with the same first letter, so after few unsuccessfull attempts I gave up this idea.

Do you think it's better to switch to select ... into curLender idea or leave it as it is (it's now working fine, except I'm waiting for my colleague to add a new property to our wgGrid class - nCurRec, which will allow me to determine in AfteRowColChange, am I on the same record or not).
