Using another decompiler will not respect this and it will attempt to decompile the application. However, as Michel posted, ReFox's encryption algorithm is very good and I haven't heard of any one being able to decompile an encrypted application either. There was one company that claimed they could, but they are out of business now so I don't think their claims were well founded.

>Hate to be the the one to bring the bad news...but if you have a hex-editor and know what you're going it's possible to make some changes and then decompile a refoxed application in about 2 minutes.
>Now it took me a LONG time to figure out how to do this....probably like 20 or 30 hours..but repeating the prosess is acutally quite simple. I discovered this after I'd PAID for a copy of refox and it really pissed me off. I sent them some email (serveral emails as matter of fact) explaining how I did it because I kinda want my MONEY back seeing how they lied to me.
>They've NEVER responded.

Victor,
It sounds like you found the bits where the Brand is stored and you are removing it so ReFox thinks it's a normal decompile job. If I were Xitech, I would give you a free copy and and thank you for your work (while I figured out a new way to encrypt the Brand and a checksum so you couldn't do it again < s >). But that's just me.

Cool job!
