Hi!

Check in development mode if memory contains a form variable (form still in the memory).
Check if all views/tables in the data session do not contain buffered changes.
Check if some view could be closed with changes.
Transactions can also prevent closing, but seems this should not be a case...

I cannot remember other cases.
Finally, are thes data sessions are default data session objects created by the VFP forms with private data sessions?

>if i am running an applicaion, is there a problem if there are many private datasessions opened? the problem i seem to be having is that although all the work areas within these sessions are being closed im a left with an open datasession. normally the data session will close when a form is closed but when i run a sql query prior to generating a report, it doesnt close datasession when done. again it will close all the work areas but leaves the datasession or is this a non-issue. any clues..
