If you want to create an ActiveX control use VB o VC++
If you want to create a game or software that deals with a scientific experiment, say taking temperature readings and controlling hardware, maybe VFP would not be the best solution.
If your apps deal with data, then VFP is the ticket.
Like a skilled carpenter, you have a set of tools at your disposal. Use the appropriate tool for the job. To paraphrase "if all you have is a hammer, then the rest of the world looks like a nail to you".
