Dick,

I'm not sure you really want to be shutting down Word on the user. What if the start with your document, print it and decide since they already have Word up and running they want to work on some unrelated document? If you are going to expect them to actively do work in Word you should just start it and let them deal with that app like they do every other app. Ask yourself if you really need this form of inter-app modality or not.

If they close down Word your oWord object will begin to throw errors when you try to access it's PEMs.

>David, My post was in error. The Word application is staying on the screen but my VFP program continues. What I really want to do is to stop execution of my VFP program until the operator closes Word. So I guess my question should be:
>How do I stop execution of my VFP program until I am sure that the operator has closed the Word application ?
