Kylix is a complete stand-alone, cross targeted version of Delphi not an extension. You can share the codebase but you get a complete IDE and compiler.

What will be interesting is how much compatibility is maintained between the platforms, for instance how does Kylix support COM technologies including ActiveX when cross compiling?
