>Well, I bet the "urban legend" began with miss informing the military. The Air Force told us it tumbled and "we believed everything we were told". The velocity of the projectile has a bit to do with the damage that is done.

Well, perhaps the design has changed over the years then. That's about the only way I can reconcile both assertions it seems.
