>It doesn't work. It says cannot accompish. I am using optimistic, dynamic as input parameters for the open method. The data is there, but I cannot change it. I don't want to change the underlying Oracle database, just the recordset before printing a report. Any ideas?

Check my reply on the VFP forum. I haven't worked with Oracle & ADO but have a feeling it will work. Not all providers have support for the different types of cursors defined in the ADO help.
