The error message is (coming from FoxPro):

"ole error code 0x8004006d Object doesn't support IViewObject interface"

We have a "Loan Management System" we support nation wide. Latest build is VFP 6 SP3. One of the documents is an application which has a general field on it. The general field is tied to its own table, the rest of the fields are generally tied to a cursor. Before the report is generated, I open up Word through Automation and determine if the document can fit in the alloted space on the application. If it can, I do an append general to the table, otherwise, it prints it separately. The instant before FoxPro sends it to the printer/screen, it comes up with the error, then it closes the report, not showing anything.

This system has been in place for a couple of years and worked perfectly since. Our problem customers are using Norton AntiVirus with a variety of versions. Somewhere in April, one of the definition updates has caused the error to start occuring. A select few of customers are encountering this error.

We don't use macros. We do everything through automation. I don't understand how Norton could be getting in the way here. I've done a variety of research, but can't seem to pin point anything, neither is Norton helpful.

Any ideas?
