Databases,Tables, Views, Indexing and SQL syntax
Hi Barbara,
Thanks for the response.
No, I changed the code a bit and removed the data environment files from any other form
except on the main form. The network here is peer to peer with no main server in place.
Shared files reside on local harddrives, not the best setup but it's worked for this business. Funny thing though, this
cache problem seems to affect the masterfiles not work files. What I mean about that is files I update with a
replace command instead of SQL select statements or append statements and always after an index becomes
corrupted from lockups. Files that seem uneffected have older data in them, as if someones has been overlaying files.
Is it possible that if I'm attempting to fix an index and I have a copy (older) of the databases/files on my station and
open a file on another station that my data (same file but older) gets copied through ?
thanks again,
Don
