All,

My scheduled maintenance plan on my SQL 2000 box for my transaction log failed a few times on one database. I decided to do it manually, but when I went to the backup screen for the database both the Transaction Log and File and Filegroup options are greyed out.

The database does allow me to shrink the transaction file - what gives? What do I need to do to my transaction log so my maintenance runs?
