Hi All,
I'm new to this JAVA forum and a greenhorn :) I have been developing windows based applications in VB and VFP for sometime. I've even have some C++ experience. Although, not necessarily object oriented. I have been given an assignment that is a little off the beaten path for me. I'm too develop a new set of skills....Java programming skills! My task is to create a reusable, generic address object that the other programmers can use to either display or add/edit an address. The address might be a 'Ship-To Address' or even a 'Remit-To Address'. I don't think it matters. I've been given a format for the proposed address and that is about it. To be honest, I'm not really sure how to approach this. So, I'm hoping that if I talk...someone out there will be listening.
What to do first? As mentioned, the objective is to either collect address info and display it, create a new address and save it or edit an existing address and save it. So, Whadayathink? Am I skipping off in the right direction so far? Next, I suppose I'll have to develop a method signature for the object. Provided we agree that this is one object. Also, Begin developing a list of private variables and methods for my object. Hey, gotta take my father grocery shopping...I'll be back in about an hour. Let me know what you think.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

Mat
