Thanks for checking up on my problem of "Read Only on a 2.6 DOS edit field". Turns out that I played with the compile options and got it to work. Don't know exactly which option did it, I checked/unchecked several (made note of what I did) and left it to run. Interestingly enough, I was working on another project with edit fields a couple of days later. This time, I DID want the field to be no-edit. Well, when I clicked on the "read only" box, it turned the field black with grey text (illegible). What did I do? I simple compiled it with the same options that caused the problem 2 days earlier. Viola, I had my read-only edit box in normal colors.
