I have made very good progress with the MAPI class using that test form that comes with the Outlook class.

The getattachment() method works as described and it is creating my attachents in the temporary folder on my drive C: as follows.

C:\TEMP\ALLOCA~2.XLS

So far I have not experienced the problems in the MAPI class that you described having with the Outlook class.

You may want to consider using the MAPI class instead if you think any of your clients will be using a different mail client to outlook.

I will be making use of the Outlook class myself to move the mail items to the deleted folder. To do this I will have to check if they have Outlook first and I am hoping to find something on the UT that will tell me how to do this.

My clients without Outlook will just have to make the deletions themselves.
