Thanks for your suggestion George. The files in question (*.fwx) do not show up in the (MODI COMM ?) file list but I can use the Syntax Coloring, Block Commenting, etc. on them. It would be nice to be able to see them in the program file list for file filtering purposes.

>>Is there a way to configure VFP to recognize extensions (other than the normal ones, i.e. *.prg, *.spr) as program files, so that they may be opened in the editor as program files, to take advantage of Syntax Coloring, Block Commenting, etc.?

For example, say you wanted a file with the extension .fpp, as in FoxPro Program, to act the same as a prg when dragged into the VFP command window. add .fpp to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT hive and give it the default value of Visual.FoxPro.Program. I don't know, however, if this will cause the .fpp extension to show up when you issue MODI COMM ?
