I have no end of problems with HP printers esp LJ, although using a basic LJIII driver usually resolves the problem.

The main problem as far as I can see is that some HP printer drivers, disable the FPU on the processor and use software emulation instead. However when the driver has finished the FPU isnt re-enabled. BUT the application doesnt know this and thus it crashes when it tries to access it. This may be the same with Epson drivers.

There are two basic cures, although I may have another soon if HP can help (Ive been researching this for over a year)

1. Disable the FPU within control panel, system.
2. Enable the FPU after you print commands, via a c function call.

If you need any help just leave a message here. I can find out more details on the call etc but just a bit tied up at the mo.

Cheers
