HELP!! I'm trying to keep from panicking but ...

I 'm having trouble trying to rebuild my VFP6 project or compiling an EXE. When I run these functons, VFP chugs along for a few seconds, then stops. The performance tab of NT Task Manager shows 100% CPU usage and the rest of my system goes sluggish. I let it sit that way for a long time -- 30 minutes -- wondering if VFP and VSS are duking it out, but in the end I have to [End Task] via Task Manager on VFP6 which is reported as "Not responding".

Any clue what's going on here? Are all the files supposed to be check in or out or does it matter?
