I want to print page totals for a document printout,how can we achieve that thru crystal reports. What we want is the page wise totals ie. the total of the items appearing in that page and a grand total at the bottom of the document.
Each page should show the Total amount of That Page only.. and should not add the Total of Previous page.

Take a look at Report...Variables on the menu in the Report Designer. You can define a variable that sums a value and resets at the end of each page. You can put a field containing this report variable in the Page Footer to get it to print at the bottom of each page.


We have created a formula field (pgno) where in the expression we have put the "pagenumber" in the expression from the crystal reports other functions list. This way we are able to get the page no. in the formula field.

After that we have made a running total field. The value to summerise is the amount field But as per ur instructions when we try to put the pgno formula field in the reset option - on field change, crystal report does not accept this field. The concept U have explained is correct, but crystal reports is not taking the formula field pgno in the reset option. What is the solution for this.
