Thanks for the hand. We are using JSP's. I was thinking that anyone that calls this generic address object will have already collected the necessary data (for display) and will pass it to my object via a constructor that contains an argument list of the strings that need to be formatted. In the object I intend to format each value individually. Then maybe pass the values back to the control where they could then be stored in the message object. Next, design a renderer that would display the data in a specific format. Am I making sense??
