>I have an application in which the customer was in a file when the power was lost. As a result they get an error: corrupt memo file ... when they attempt to open that file. They would lose considerable data if they have to go go the backup. Is there a way to fix that memo file ? Also, is it possible to restore just the MEMO file which is associated with some file or do you have to restore both the DBF and the FPT file to get them to match up ?

I use FoxFix to rebuild corrupted files. I think you can get it at www.Hallogram.com. I think there are a few other rebuild utilities as well on that site.
