>Win2K Server, file system on the drive (not boot or system) is NTFS, Everyone has Full Control on all files. After reinstalling the Server and Active Directory some files on that drive now cannot be accessed, but they were before. Files weren't encrypted, just regular files. When I open the Properties dialogue the Security tab doesn't appear, when I try to open those files I cannot do that, and if I try to copy the files I get the following error message: Cannot copy <filename>: The file cannot be accessed by the system.
>I also tried to change permission and owner of all files in the folder, it looks like changing permission and owner (w/o errors), but did not help, they are still unaccessible.

The solution is found and the problem is resolved. Just one of new network administrators ran on Win2K Server third party utilities those only for WinNT4. Those utilities corrupted original files, but (and that is just luck) saved them in program's backup folder, so we were able to restore them from that folder.

So, that was a good lesson for all hwo is new in Win2K:
Do not try to use utilities-programs for WinNT on Win2K computers if you do not want to lose your data and have very big problems!
