Title:
Control Source Gets Lost
Not sure exactly what is happening because I cannot reproduce at my desktop (and at the user's desktop, they do not have access to the debugger).
Have a dropdown combo on a form that has the rows created from one view and then the active row is bound to another view (the user's preferences in this case). 95% of the time when the form fires up, the correct row is pointed to in the list eg. in this case, it is a list of queues with the user's default queue being the one pointed to ie. if the bound field contains "Brokerage Queue 1" then the face of the picklist also shows this by default.
But every now and then when the user fires the form, the picklist face is empty (ie. like row zero). When the picklist is then chosen by the user, all the rows are there (so the combo was built properly it seems). Also, if I have the user call me, I can check their users.dbf record across the network at that moment and the bound field does indeed still hold the correct data.
Okay...too much veriage....the question is, have others experienced flakiness in VFP losing its control source if it is set on the properties sheet?
Thanks,
Albert
