>My boss wants a dbf from an excel worksheet this afternoon. So manula, automated, whatever is quickest. This should not be too hard but i have had no luck so far. The excel spreadsheet has 9 columns. One is a very long text column with new lines (Alt+enter in xcel) and will have to go into a memo field. I have a empty table in the same format as the excel spreadsheet waiting, But i can not get it to work properly. seems the new lines are throwing it off. The import wizard has c0005 on me several times.

If you have access, then try to import into access (let it do the work on creating the fields and table). Then if it looks ok export it from access to a dbf or foxpro.
