I am having some difficuties with LaunchAppAndWait. I want to use the VSInstaller to install some apps. I created a form to allow MIS to select which apps to install on a given machine and I want to use LaunchAppAndWait to launch the appropriate xxxxxx.msi file. This fails as the file is not an executible and the CreateProcess function doesn't seem to deal well with associations? I then tried to use the Setup program the VSI made for me noticing that the setup.ini file pointed to my msi. This works but the AndWait part fails probably because the startup calls the msi and is therefore terminated. What I would like to do is run the msi directly, just like double clicking it from the explorer.

Any ideas? Ed?

Thanks in advance
Terry

PS. You may wonder why I am doing this. Well I am attempting to get around the convolutions & limitations of the VSI. Anyone up for a thread on that one?
It is impossible to make programs idiot proof. Idiots are too cleaver.
