You know, at the time, that was my only W2K system (my laptop) and it only had 64MB ram (a bit miniscule for W2K). I haven't really tried to do that on my other W2K systems (128MB and 192MB and 512MB) as I've had no need to manipulate such large files again. I'll have to dig one up and give it a go.

OK, I just tried it on the 512MB box with a 33MB file and no problem, even with multiple tries. I guess for now, I can write it off to low memory, possible pre-SP1 for W2K, or maybe even one of the SP's for VFP fixed it. When I did it on W95, it was on the box with 128MB, but it still "thrashed" pretty good.

I did speak with some Microsoft people at the DevCon in NO about it, but no "official" report was made. Seems like no need, now.
