Hi fellows,

As a newbie just starting to learn web technology, I've been watching messages about web development using VFP, since I joined UT a few months ago, to gather all information that could help me. I could notice that most of them are related with West-Wind's Web Connection, wich seemed to me to be a very used tool, also having a big community of users (as an outstanding example, I can see this magnificent app that holds UT).

But now I've noticed a discrete growth of another tool called FoxWeb, that even deserved its own place here at UT, when a new category was created to hold discussions about it. Unfortunatelly I found not much material about FoxWeb, here and elsewhere.

So I'm asking if this is a recent tool, if there are many people using it, how it compares to Web Connection, what kind of apps should be best suited to each one of these tools, what are the strenghts and weaknesses of each one, etc.

It seemed to me to behave somehow like Prolib's AFP, both running VFP code embedded into HTML scripts, like ASP (please, excuse me if I'm wrong! I'm just beginning to learn about web dev and I may make some confusion between all these tools).

After visiting FoxWeb's web site I could read that "FoxWeb sales are handled by Eon Technologies". Is Eon a VFP add on development company, or FoxWeb is developed by some other company and just sold by Eon? The people that develops FoxWeb are UT attendands or do they run their own forum or message board for FoxWeb's users support and/or knowledge sharing, like West-Wind Message Board and Wiki?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Fernando
