Hi John,

I really can't tell, what they're doing :) I know the particular situation, where I used BLANK command and it was the best command in my situation.
So, I just pointed to it, it doesn't mean, it's suitable for all situations :)

Hopefully, I would not be responsible, if suicide happens :)

>SCATTER ... GATHER ... worrying about the BLANK parameter ... I need some Lithium with what you all are doing out there. Assisted suicide is still suicide. What's wrong with buffering?

Now, the form has all the fields from the AUTH table but the person table remains selected (SELECT person). Then there is a Combobox.InteractiveChange that need to clear all the fields (along with disabling/enabling the textboxes), how to I clear the fields which have not been updated (only that the AUTH table has the appended record waiting for TableRevert() or TableUpdate()).

>>>Thanks Nadya. This one helped me out too. I'm working in FPW 2.6 and had been doing a SCATTER TO aTemp MEMO BLANK and then a GATHER FROM aTemp MEMO. I checked the help file and the BLANK command is valid there as well.

>>Great! BTW, I picked this advice from here too some time ago. As I recall, it was Cindy, who suggested it.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
