Thanks... I've already done that.. but was wondering if there was something I was overlooking that would allow me to get around not having to code for the blank array.

As it turns out, they used databases that were initially populated with records, so the array would be intitalized by SQL-Select. I was told to place a blank record in the database to start with, then code to not allow the database to have no records.
