This question could belong in any language related forum. I would like to know what tools are you using for analysing a software (before coding).

I am using UML and I am looking for a good tools. I tried Visual Modeler but it does not provide a lot of facilities (collaboration diagram, etc.). I am testing Rational Rose but it is very big (an expensive) and without a good course it is not easy.

There are some goals that I am looking for in that tool search:

- An easy way to conceptualize the projet (Collaboration diagram, Class Diagram, etc);
- An easy way to decorticate the projet to give specific task to programmers;
- Documentation purpose.

Maybe it is unrealistic but I would like to know how do you manage all that?
