Well said. We can forget that a method has a "context" and that context has to be recreated if the code is removed from the method proper.

The one time I found a mechanism like this was in a conversion program in FPDos. That approach really simplified the coding. It turned out, interestingly enough, rather like the Access expression builder. Today, I'd consider using an OO approach.
