Hi all,

I've come up with an idea for an add-on utility for SQL 2000.

When (and if) I decide to attempt to write this utility:
1) What extra steps do I need to take so that the utility can be used and/or registered as an 'external tool' in Enterprise Manager?
2) Are there in existence any conventions or 'de facto' guidelines that should be followed and/or would make this task easier/more acceptable by the masses?
3) Or, have I lost what miniscule amount of rationality I still possess in even considering such a foolish, ill-conceived action? (G)

Any and all ideas/comments/rotten tomatoes are greatly appreciated.
