Ransome;

I don't know if VFP7 supports animated GIFs, but there are at least two ways to get animation in VFP6 and earlier.

One way is to use the ActiveX OCX for playing AVI's. You just need to be sure to include the proper OCX in the install routine.

The second way (outlined in FoxPro Advisor) is to place each frame of the animation on your form in the same place and use a timer control to turn them on and off in the proper order. A little cumbersome in my mind, but it means you don't have to worry about getting the AVI playing OCX installed on every machine that runs your application.

I'm sure others around here can tell you about GIF support in VFP7.
