AFAIK, both ActiveRow and RelativeRow are still unreliable because if you scroll the currently active row in the grid out of site using the vertical scroll bars, both ActiveRow and RelativeRow get set to 0. If you then scroll the active row back into the visible portion of the grid, these properties contain the correct values.

Personally, I think that this behavior supports the idea that there is really only ever one row in a grid and that the rest is done with smoke and mirrors < s >.
