Hi!
Try to use following:
<script language = VBScript>
set cn1 = CreateObject( "ADODB.Connection" )
</script>
At least you got idea - default language is Java Script (working with objects is different there), and proper syntax is required.
>I have a working ASP front-end to display the contents of a VfP table, using Win98 & PWS & ADO. For demonstration purposes, to be run on clients PCs, I would like to modify the ASP page to be a straight HTML page - the PCs will not have PWS installed but will have the latest Data Access Components. Should this be possible, I've searched the web but all references to ADO are related to ASP.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
