That is correct, JR, I don't remember ever having a contention problem with VFP and VSS. We have a couple of really big applications in there too. The exception to this is a user cecking out a module and failing to check it in on a timely basis, and in the interim another user checked out, modified, checked in the same, and then the first user cold not save (check-in) their work. Instead having to check out the revised module, copy and past in his/her mods and then check it back in for the rebuild. Now, there is a little caveat here. The person setting up the VSS server has quite a bit of configuration other than defaults when setting up, but once that is carefully done, the rest of it should be a piece of cake. (Just remember to check your work back in as soon as you complete it, even if just going to lunch)
