Doug;
You may be correct, but we can dream. I think Alex and I are coming from a different perspective, based upon our use of Visual MaxFrame Professional. The present version of Visual MaxFrame Professional, version 5.0, requires the use of Visual FoxPro 6.0/Service Pack 3 or later. For whatever reason it does not state that previous versions of Visual FoxPro, FPW or DOS will work. I would presume that was a business decision based upon a number of factors, including the technologies involved.
There may be enough similarity between Visual FoxPro 6.0 and 7.0 to allow both being used with Visual MaxFrame Professional version 6.0, when it is released. I am sure that someone will tell us or we will learn soon enough. The question is the feature set of the new product and interaction with versions 6.0 and 7.0 of Visual Fox Pro.
As another example of Visual MaxFrame Professional, beginning with version 4.0 (June 1999?), the product no longer supported Visual FoxPro 3.0.
