You should play with _ASCIIROW and _ASCIICOLS variables, check also MS KB for the article about bug with ASCII clause in report.

Basically, I don't have much luck with ASCII clause in reports, especially if one of the band has multiple lines. I created a program, which can generate a program based on report to produce an ASCII file.

Anyway, I belive in your situation you should use either PDF and send it as attachment, or you can produce Word document (using Frx2Word or other tools available in Download section here).
